As of today I am on a gluten/wheat free diet to establish whether or not an intolerence is the cause of the many, hypochondria-esque symptoms I experience in my daily existence. It is, equally, harder and easier than I thought. Perhaps I should explain...
See, it's easier because a lot of things such as: pasta, bread, biscuits, crackers and cakes are already available in a gluten free format. But it's things like: meusli bars, egg noodles, wine and beer that are a little more difficult to find.
Tonight I had to make my stir-fry with rice noodles, which isn't a hugely terribly thing - I just really love hokkien. And tomorrow I'll be attempting to make my own meusli bars, using almond meal as an alternative to wheat germ.
The one thing I'll really be missing....
Doughnuts.
